This type of mail is essentially a template populated with a customer’s details and transactions data. Some of these documents still need to be printed today but they are being gradually replaced with electronic mail. The common PDF standard is suitable for both printing and creating electronic documents, and PDF documents can also be signed with appropriate electronic signatures compliant with international standards (eIDAS) to ensure document authenticity.
