Projects require carrying out a large number of tasks, which are complex by themselves and involve several participants. We support running them through the general workflow management tools provided by CRAFT. With the system keeping track of those involved in the project, each project-related task can automatically be assigned to the appropriate person, which ensures that each project task has an owner. Milestones and associated deadlines can be set in the project’s lifecycle. Milestones are reached when certain tasks are carried out and/or specific documents are prepared. When a milestone is reached, the opportunity to start new tasks can open up. The system can also manage these tasks in a partly automatic manner.

Keeping records of milestones and deadlines allows for planning and monitoring the progress of the project. Conditions associated with milestones give a clear picture of what tasks must be completed to make progress, and provide a means of checking if the necessary tasks have been done.
Project participant records allow for automating or supporting the assignment of staff to specific project tasks.
